What equipment is needed to purify the air?

The importance of air purification systems

Our health is constantly at risk, as the simple act of breathing can result in the inhalation of harmful particles, such as viruses, bacteria and fungi with high pathogenic potential, which can cause respiratory, eye and skin diseases. Similarly, when deposited on surfaces with which we normally come into contact, some of these particles can cause gastrointestinal illness, while particles such as pollen and other allergens cause general discomfort in people with allergies.

Another relevant factor in our environment is mould, generated by moisture due to poor ventilation or building materials, which directly affects the durability and proper functioning of our goods and equipment.

For all of the above, it is vitally important to keep our home and work space always sanitized and well ventilated, in this way we will avoid contagions and economic losses due to absences from work and failures of electronic equipment, as well as the deterioration of wooden furniture and other materials sensitive to moisture.

Differences between air purification systems

There are different air purification systems that can be classified into passive and active systems. Passive systems include the following:

Air filtration systems that have a medium level of efficiency, as they require constant maintenance, otherwise bacteria and moulds can build up, and replacement parts are usually expensive.

In the same category, there are UV lamps, which are very effective in disinfecting materials and equipment, but they fail to disinfect areas where light does not reach. In addition, they are not suitable for human contact by the UV rays themselves, so their use is limited to special equipment and premises.

On the other hand, in active sanitation systems we can find ozone generators that are generally very effective, however, it is not possible to use them in human presence, as this causes irritation of the respiratory tract, lungs and difficulty in breathing, and they are not effective with the particles that cause asthma.

Advantages of non-thermal plasma (cold plasma) :

Since the beginning of the century, research has been carried out on the most advanced active air purification system, called cold plasma, and its applications in the health field. Through multiple studies, it has proven to be very effective in disinfecting and sanitising the air in enclosed spaces, as well as surfaces and equipment, as the ion generator electrically charges the air, causing the particles to collide with each other and produce oxidation of the cell membranes of bacteria, viruses, micro-organisms, fungi and moulds; thus preventing the spread of respiratory diseases, as well as allergic reactions, eye infections, nose and throat irritations, headaches and nausea, skin reactions, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, breathing difficulties, among others.

That's why Jonix's patented active air purification technology is the best option for keeping your family and work team healthy.
