The Teddington ORIGIN-MH3M hydraulic module with backup heater combines all the components needed to create a perfect heating system. It includes all the hydraulic components needed to simplify and secure the installation, and communicates continuously with the ORIGIN heat pump via its touchscreen and wired connection.
ORIGIN-MH3M includes a small integrated buffer tank, a 3 way valve for domestic hot water, a safety valve, a water charge valve and an expansion vessel, as well as an electric heater. The connection to the ORIGIN heat pump is made via a water loop.

During installation, the installer simply connects the ORIGIN heat pump directly to the Teddington ORIGIN-MH3 hydraulic module.



Integration of all components

ORIGIN-MH3M integrates all the main components, including a 10-litre buffer tank, circulator, valves, filters, constant pressure water recharge device, backup heater, touchscreen display, electrical control, etc. This is why the ORIGIN-MH3M hydraulic module has the slimmest design on the market (265 mm).



Relief valve

The relief valve is also known as a safety valve, which is one of the most important types of safety valves. This type of valve sets a limit on the increase in pressure in the hydraulic system. During normal operation, the valve is closed and no fluid passes through, but if the pressure in the system exceeds the limit, the valve opens to release the pressure, protecting the heat pump from damage due to overpressure.

Space heating + domestic hot water heating

Unlike traditional heat pump systems, which use a three-way valve to control space heating and water heating, the Teddington ORIGIN-MH3M hydraulic module uses advanced technology to achieve this control without a three-way valve.

Filling valve with non-return valve

The automatic fill valve automatically maintains the water pressure in the system at the set value and prevents hot water from the heating system from returning to the water supply pipe, ensuring accurate pressure and system stability.


The hydraulic module with backup heater allows you to:

- Start a heating system when the water temperature is below 15°C

- Protect the heating network from water expansion thanks to the expansion tank

- Have the minimum volume of heating water for the heat pump to operate correctly

- Bleed air from the heating system using its automatic air vent

- Protect the heating system from overpressure using its safety valve

- Fill or drain the heating system using its valve

The ORIGIN-MH3M module includes the following components:

- A 10-litre expansion vessel. - A candlestick, an automatic air vent and a safety valve to connect the tank to the expansion vessel.
- A 3 kW immersion heater or electric backup heater.
- A wall bracket for fixing the module with 4 lag screws.


Also supplied with:
- Five 10-metre temperature probes
- Two 10-metre humidity probes
- One 20-metre PAC-module connection cable
